This week I’m trying Red Sea Blend from Allegro Coffee.
Flavor Description: Intense, berry and spice notes Roast Profile: Medium Roast (Vienna) Origin: East Africa, Yemen Exotic and complex with notes of dried cherry, strawberry, tobacco, nutmeg and fragrant wood. Like our Masai Blend, this coffee defines the word exotic, but more accurately Red Sea is primal and wild. This fruity and wild intermingling pays homage to the greatness of Arabica coffee’s birthplace, Ethiopia. We blend naturally sun-dried coffees from the motherland’s many diverse growing regions.
Yep, those pancakes are the same color as that plate. Sunday morning I decide to make my famous Blue Supreme Pancakes! Their a hit with people under the age of 7.
Summary: There is only one thing on which almost everyone agrees: there is something very wrong in Washington. The country is being run by pollsters. Few Politicians are able to win the voters trust. Blame abounds and personal responsibility is nowhere to be found. There is cynicism in Washington that appalls those in every state.
Review: TV transformed Presidents into celebrities, because with the TV what the President did outside the Oval office became more important then what he actually did inside it. Campaigns have turned into massive self promotion contest, it’s all about who you can get to endorse you, how much money you can raise, and how you are rated in the polls. It’s about the never ending cycle of turning Presidents into performers. One great quote from the book is “Television has ruined every single thing it has touched”.
With the rise of TV came the new age of Public Relations. What a mess the PR industry has turned our country into. Now marketers and PR firms turned polls into strategic political weapons. They found all you have to do in a poll with results that don’t favor your candidate, is change a few words until you get the response you want.
Public Relations have helped break America. The book states that all the beliefs we use to have about America are now false. Things like: All Presidents are honest, Americans always do the right thing, and America only fights just wars. The TV age has redefined life. Humanity is no longer defined by what someone does, but by how they are perceived.
He talks in depth about the Bush campaign in 2000, and 2004. It seems Bush’s strategy from the start was to say what every they wanted to win. They assumed up front that people wouldn’t take the time to check into the details of what they said. “Bush views politics like a blood sport, do what ever it takes to win”.

I’d encourage any computer lover to watch the trailer Here.
